Welcome to Ensayo. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ensayo mobile apps (iOS and Android), the web dashboard at app.ensayoapp.com, and our website at ensayoapp.com — all provided by John Soto Music LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Ensayo, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Ensayo. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has accessed your account, let us know right away.

2. Subscriptions and free trial

Ensayo offers a paid subscription with a two-month free trial for new users. After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the price shown in the app store at sign-up — unless you cancel beforehand.

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to those platforms' terms. We never see or store your credit card information.

You can cancel anytime from your device's subscription settings. If you cancel, you keep access through the end of your current billing period. We don't issue refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.

3. The John Soto Music VIP discount

Active Ensayo subscribers can receive a discount code (10% off any purchase of $500 or more) at johnsotomusic.com. The discount is offered as a benefit and may change or end at any time. It's a separate transaction with John Soto Music's e-commerce store and is governed by that store's terms and policies.

4. Your content

You own the content you create or upload to Ensayo — your songs, chord charts, set lists, services, and team data. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to host, store, transmit, and display it solely so we can provide the service to you and your team.

You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to use and share whatever you upload — including any third-party copyrighted material like song lyrics or chord charts.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Community library

Ensayo includes a community library where users may share songs and chord charts. By contributing, you confirm you have the right to share that content and grant other Ensayo users a limited license to use it within the app. We may remove content that violates these Terms or someone else's rights.

7. Copyright

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Ensayo infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@johnsotomusic.com that includes:

8. Our intellectual property

The Ensayo name, logo, software, and design are owned by John Soto Music LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms don't grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service.

9. Termination

You can stop using Ensayo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that harms us or other users. We'll give you notice when reasonable.

10. Disclaimers

Ensayo is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep things running, but we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, John Soto Music LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of Ensayo. Our total liability for any claim related to the service won't exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Aiken County, South Carolina — except where local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Ensayo after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
